For comparison, the resolution on the current 42mm Apple Watch Series 3 is 312×390. If true, these new Apple Watches will have more pixels than the original iPhone.

What Happened to General Magic?

Adam Fischer provided a bunch of excerpted quotes from his lengthily titled book Valley of Genius: The Uncensored History of Silicon Valley (As Told by the Hackers, Founders, and Freaks Who Made It Boom) to NYMag. The article features a generous amount of quotes from the likes of Andy Hertzfeld, Tony Fadell, and even John […]

i9 in Name Only

Mike Wuerthele, writing for AppleInsider: After several back-to-back tests, keeping the processors warm and the fans running, we were able to regularly get impressive scores of up to 916. Using Intel Power Gadget, we clocked the processor speed averaging around 2.3Ghz and 2.6GHz, almost exactly what we were getting with the i9. Regardless of whether […]

Apple’s MacBook Pro vs. Microsoft’s Surface Book 2

Juli Clover over at MacRumors has an interesting comparison between the flagship laptops from Apple and Microsoft. Like many of Microsoft’s computers1 as of recent, the Surface Book 2 looks like a good machine that I am sure many will find compelling and seeing the laptops stacked on top of each other really illustrates the […]

“I don’t know any actors, but I know an actual MBA”

This is a neat piece by Michael Steeber about the origins of “Simplicity Shootout”, a promotional video for the original iMac. My favorite part is how Adam Taggart, the guy tasked with setting up the PC, is an actual MBA with experience in assembling PCs. A winter break side job at Brown University in the […]

Precision Trackpad Support on PCs

In an article primarily about Chrome’s new feature that blocks auto playing videos with sound, The Verge made passing mention of the browser’s upcoming support for “precision trackpads”1 and linked to this Reddit. FINALLY! Does it scroll like Edge too? That’s the main reason I use Edge – it scrolls and zooms just like Safari […]
