“No wireless. Less space than a nomad. Lame.”

This is the response Rob ‘CmdrTaco’ Malda of Slashdot fame had to the original iPod. As the simplest of industry changing products Steve shepherded, the iPod is perhaps the clearest example of what he brought to the world as well as how the world has often initially responded. Steve repeatedly brought us inventions that meet the demand of their use and often did so by eliminating things rather than adding them. His curation repeatedly produced amazingly great products without features considered to be contemporary common sense. In a world filled with cheap things with long checklists, Steve Jobs used his acumen to sell us simplified, elegant objects worth their premium.

Thanks.
